Dreamland Beach Bali: How to Plan Your Visit
Dreamland Beach is located on the Bukit Peninsula, about 45 minutes south of Kuta. Here’s how to plan your visit!
Dreamland Beach, Bali
I put this photo up on Pinterest and I couldn’t believe it got over 1500 re-pins in less than 24 hours. One woman even said, “this has to be Photoshopped. Look at the shadows. That’s a pool in the front.”
Sorry to disappoint, but it’s an actual pool overlooking Dreamland Beach in southern Bali. Dreamland Beach is on the Bukit Peninsula and about 30-45 minutes south of Kuta.
When I visited Bali, I found this to be one of the prettiest beaches on the island. It was also one of my favorite places to surf in Bali because it’s not shallow reef like many of the other surf spots in southern Bali. In other words, you don’t have to be as careful of hitting the reef. I was told it is only flat rock at the bottom and the rocks are fairly deep.
How to Visit Dreamland Beach, Bali
- Timing is Key: To experience the best of Dreamland Beach, I recommend visiting during the early morning or late afternoon. Not only will you avoid the intense midday heat, but you’ll have the opportunity to take in the gorgeous sunrise or sunset.
- Pack Essentials: Bring along the essentials for a beach day; sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a beach towel are all a must. A reusable water bottle is highly recommended to stay hydrated without contributing to plastic waste.
- Swimming Safety: While Dreamland Beach is known for its beauty, the waves can be powerful. If you’re not an experienced swimmer, it’s advisable to stay close to the shore. Always heed the advice of lifeguards and warning flags. When I surfed here, the rip tide was very strong!
- Photographer’s Paradise: Capture the beauty of Dreamland Beach with your camera or smartphone. The picturesque cliffs, golden sands, and azure waters offer unlimited opportunities for amazing photos.
- Dining Options: Dreamland Beach has a range of dining options, from beachside shacks to more upscale restaurants.
- Respect Nature: Remember to respect the environment during your visit. Avoid leaving trash behind and consider picking up any trash you find along the beach.
- Transportation: Plan your transportation ahead of time. Whether you’re staying nearby or in a different area of Bali, ensure you have a reliable way to get to and from Dreamland Beach.
- Beach Activities: Dreamland Beach offers opportunities for surfing. Board rentals are available right on the beach.
- Stay Overnight: If you’re looking for a hotel near this beach, the Villa Hari Indah is a stunning property which is highly recommended by other travelers!

Many people say that Dreamland beach is one of the best tourism beach in Bali. But, that’s not what I thought when I visited that place. Why can I say that ? First, when you came there, you would see the beauty of the beach and waves. But, if you took a look around the beach, you would see many rubbishes. The local people also couldn’t keep the cleanliness of that place. We could see from the coral reefs, many local people fouled the coral reefs. The parking area was also terrible because it was not styled well and neatly so it was looked narrow. The last problem is I couldn’t find the seller easily.

Hi there! My name is Carly. My best friend and I are planning our month long trip to Bali, we are not sure which city to stay in. We would just love a beautiful green, ocean scenic area where it is safe. Do you have any suggestions? Your blog has been very helpful!
Great shot but Dreamland is ruined now I’m afraid.
It was only a matter of time. That’s too bad. I’m sure I would be shocked to see the difference now.
Why? What happened to it?
Wow, if this photo doesn’t inspire people to plan their next vacation, then I don’t know what does!
Bali’s always so awesome, has great days there, great shot
Beautiful! And I’m not surprised it was popular on Pinterest. Bali is on my list of places to visit.
How I would love to be lying on that beach, what a gorgeous place 🙂
I believe it is not photoshoped because Bali is an incredible place where you can see a true heaven on Earth!
I wish I were there right now!!
Gorgeous!!! I can’t wait to hit Bali!
Are you planning a trip there after Thailand? You should! 😀
Why would you photoshop a pool onto a beach 😉 If you were going to photoshop something.. it would be unicorns.. or the cookie monster.. or something 😉 Great photo!
Haha! I know, right?! Maybe I should photoshop some unicorns in there. They would fit right in.Â
Your experience at Bali seems to be so different than ours at the trash-filled Kuta Beach. We wrote about a different side of Bali at: http://www.changesinlongitude.com/kuta-beach-bali-trash/
Cheers,
larissa and michael
 Gah! That’s so sad!
It looks totally legit to me! the colours of Bali can be incredible.
Then it’s Lightroomed? hahaha
That’s gorgeous! Crazy you got that many pins in a day!Â
Pinners really like beaches. Good thing I love them too.
oh Bali…one day!
Holy mackerel, I’m booking my flight.Â
Ahh.. I wish I could book a flight back too! And then I look up ticket prices and remember why I’m not there right now. 🙂
Love it! A return trip to Bali is in order 🙂
Wow this pictures is amazing! That place is really perfect for family vacation, right? Hope I can also bring my family their.Â
Not the best sea for children to swim in. Best to go to calmer waters like Nusa Dua
Beautiful! I am sure it is even more gorgeous in real life.
This is an incredible picture! We were so close – wish we could’ve seen this. Thanks for posting!
