Thanks to fashion designer Christy Woodrow, nip slips (or worse) while enjoying water sports are now a thing of the past.

Woodrow, an avid surfer and water-lover, recently debuted her swimwear line, OT Surf to the public. According to Woodrow, the line is designed specifically to stay put, making embarrassing slip ups virtually impossible.

“I designed this swimwear for all of the ladies who worry about heading out into the waves and emerging sans top,” said Woodrow, co-founder of OT Surf. “Personally, I’ve lost my top in the water and I’ve had to hike up my bottoms after a wave, and decided it was time to come up with a solution for active women.”

OT Surf’s first two products available to the public include a signature sports bikini and 100% recycled t-shirt with a cool surfer silhouette design.

The Story Behind OT Surf

It all started with our passion for surfing, traveling and the environment. We began to get frustrated with the options, functionality and quality of the clothing and sports swimwear on the market, starting with women’s bikinis.

We decided it was time to design a functional bikini that stays put in the toughest conditions that is manufactured in the USA with high-quality materials.

Just to show you how much of a need there is for a functional sports bikini, we have added an excerpt from the August 2011 issue of Transworld Surf magazine where Chris Cote interviewed 9 different female pro surfers who travel all over the world in search of good waves.

“Whenever girls in bikinis duckdive, the bottoms come down; it always happens.”

Christy got tired of pulling her bikini bottoms back up and Scott grew tired of her always complaining about it. So they came up with a solution that is both functional and sexy.

No offence but I much prefer swimwear that doesn’t stay put. You know the kind? The type that has your balls or boobs suddenly jutting out at right angles?

Seriously though. Looks great. Well done you guys!

One more Target market for you- active moms!!! I am very active (kayak, diving, boating, ect). We take our 2yr old with us every where we can. Toddlers always seem to grab into bikinis when learning to swim or playing in water! It will be nice to have a bikini that will stay put while running around with my son!!!
