Looking Forward to Another Great Year!
As I sit here reflecting on the past year, I find it hard to know where to start. 2010 has been full of new adventures and a lot of big changes.
–In January of 2010, Scott and I took the plunge and moved in together after 3 years of dating, and we are enjoying every minute of it.
–In April of 2010 we took 6 weeks off from our jobs to travel Southeast Asia and the east coast of Australia.
–In August of 2010, we officially launched Ordinary Traveler, and have been diligently working towards building a lifestyle business doing what we love.
–We ended the year enjoying warm weather, good waves, and meeting tons of like-minded travelers in the Dominican Republic.

Things to look forward to in 2011
–Focusing our lives more on photography and surfing, our two biggest loves.
–Simplifying our lives by reducing mental and material clutter.
–Launching the information-packed ebook we have been working on.
–A two week photography trip to Nepal in April (One of the destinations high on my bucket list).
We are extremely excited about the future of Ordinary Traveler. Our site has come a long way in just 4 1/2 months. We can’t thank you enough for continuing to read our posts and view our travel photography. Without all of your support, we couldn’t have made it to an Alexa ranking of 112,000 in such a short time. We look forward to breaking 100K in 2011!
Here are a couple of shots of our New Years Day. There wasn’t much surf in San Diego, so we headed down to Swami’s beach in Encinitas to see what we could find in the tidepools during a negative low tide.
We wish everyone a happy and healthy 2011. If you have any suggestions on places that you think we should visit, or general feedback about about the site, please feel free to comment below.
